  9.      cvd - The WorkShop Debugger

  12.      cvd [-P processname] [-pid pid] [-host host] [-pcsnum num] [executable [corefile]]

  15.      _c_v_d invokes the WorkShop Debugger.
  16.  
  17.      The _e_x_e_c_u_t_a_b_l_e used with the debugger is produced by specifying an
  18.      appropriate option (usually ----gggg) to the compiler.  When the _e_x_e_c_u_t_a_b_l_e
  19.      parameter is specified, the WorkShop Debugger will be invoked with the
  20.      specified executable as the target.  Breakpoints and other traps may then
  21.      be set on the executable before running the program.

  23.      If a _c_o_r_e_f_i_l_e is specified, or if the file _c_o_r_e exists in the current
  24.      directory, the WorkShop Debugger
  25.       can be used to look at the state of the program when it faulted.

  28.      The WorkShop debugger is invoked with one or more of the following
  29.      arguments:

  31.      ----PPPP _p_r_o_c_e_s_s_n_a_m_e
  32.           Debug the running process with the specified name.
  33.  
  34.      ----ppppiiiidddd _p_i_d
  35.           Debug the running process with the specified process id.
  36.  
  37.      ----hhhhoooosssstttt _h_o_s_t
  38.           Specify the remote host where the specified process is running or
  39.           where the specified executable should be executed.  By default,
  40.           programs are executed on the local host.

  42.      ----ppppccccssssnnnnuuuummmm _n_u_m
  43.           Connect to a _c_v_p_c_s running with the -d flag.  The nnnnuuuummmm is the
  44.           negative of the port number announced by the _c_v_p_c_s during startup.

  51.      the WorkShop performance analyzer.  To do so, bring up _c_v_d on the
  52.      executable, and use the ``Perf'' entry on the menu bar to select a
